Dr. Yash Desai is a Consultant Rheumatologist at The Mumbai Rheumatology Centre, dedicated to providing comprehensive and evidence-based care in the field of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology. His clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis, evaluation and management of rheumatic, autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, with an emphasis on personalized treatment and long-term patient care.

Dr. Desai began his medical journey with an MBBS from Rural Medical College, Loni, followed by an MD in Internal Medicine from Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, Udaipur. He further strengthened his expertise in Internal Medicine by completing a Secondary DNB in Internal Medicine, recognized by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. His strong foundation in Internal Medicine has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of complex medical conditions and their systemic manifestations.

Driven by a keen interest in Rheumatology, Dr. Desai went on to pursue specialized training in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology in Mumbai.

He is a European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) Certified Rheumatologist, reflecting his specialized training and commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical practice in the field of Rheumatology.

His diverse training enables him to approach complex cases with a broader clinical perspective and integrate different aspects of a patient's condition while planning treatment.

With his background in Internal Medicine and specialized expertise in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, Dr. Desai is involved in the management of a broad range of rheumatic and autoimmune disorders. His clinical interests include inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, connective tissue diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, psoriatic arthritis, gout and other rheumatic disorders, along with autoimmune conditions, osteoporosis and metabolic bone disorders. His training in Ocular Rheumatology also adds an important dimension to the evaluation of patients with rheumatic diseases affecting the eyes.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Desai has a strong interest in academic medicine and research. He has been actively involved in academic research and has contributed to the medical literature through publications in reputed medical journals.
